'Layaway angel' gives $10,000 for Walmart layaway customers in Hastings
A West Michigan “layaway angel” recently donated $10,000 for customers at a local Walmart store.
The anonymous donor gave the check to the Walmart store in Hastings on Tuesday, Dec. 18, according to LaToya Evans, a spokesperson for the retail giant.
The amount covered more than $7,000 in purchases that were on layaway at the store. The remaining funds will go to a local charity, Evans said.
